Srinagar, January 17 (KNO) : Srinagar police has arrested a thief and recovered stolen property worth thousands of rupees on his instance. Besides tools used to break into house were also recovered. During the intervening night of 16/17th of January 2018, Police Post Hazratbal arrested a habitual thief namely Waseem Parray resident of Sumbal at Habbak chowk during naka checking. Stolen property worth thousands of rupees that he had recently stolen from a shop at Dargah Hazratbal, was recovered. On further investigation, he confessed the theft and also disclosed the location where he had hidden tools of house breaking. It is pertinent to mention that the said individual is an habitual thief indulging in house breaking in Nigeen area. A case FIR number 11/2018 under section 457, 380 RPC was registered in this regard and investigation was taken up.(KNO)
